Low Calorie Yum Yum Sauce

If you’re anything like my wife, she puts this stuff on EVERYTHING.

The quickest way to derail a healthy meal is by adding high-calorie, high-fat sauces – which is a lot easier than you think. The bottles at the store have almost triple the calories than this homemade low calorie Yum Yum sauce, and you won’t even be able to tell the difference.

This recipe takes only 5 minutes to whip up and you can keep it in your fridge for whatever crazy food you want to put it on. Personally, I love this low calorie yum yum sauce with a quick pan seared shrimp or those delicious chicken breast chunks from Costco (you know the ones I’m talking about).

Helpful Kitchen Tools

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang (or tomato paste, or ketchup)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp light mayonnaise, 1 tbsp Mirin, 1 tbsp Gochujang (or tomato paste, or ketchup), 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, and 1 tsp paprika. Mix well
  • Adjust the texture if needed by adding 1 tsp of water at a time
  • Let chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours before using
